CHAPS (Pines Edge Chaparral)

PINES EDGE CHAPARRAL, (Chaps), is a multiple champion and was named the AOA National Champion brown male Suri by Senior Judge, Jude Anderson, who went on at length about his correct conformation, complete coverage and outstanding fleece that exhibited density, fineness, bright luster and smooth hand. Look at the picture of his fleece and then his histogram and you can see what Chaps is all about. Chap's fleece was named Champion brown fleece at the prestigious Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show and the judges there requested his fleece for use in upcoming judge training sessions.

Chaps has well formed locks with brilliant luster and fineness on a well balanced frame. The strength of his pedigree shows his outstanding traits are no accident. This boy's true black dam, Blacklock, has solid conformation and she is a 5 time champion including AOBA National and Futurity. Add a sire, Chakotah's Wyuna, with 4 Judge's Choice awards and named the 2015 Herdsire of the Year and the outcome is as expected.

Although Chaps has had limited use at Pines Edge, he has proof in his progeny. His son, WLK Sherlock was named Res Champion at both the 2019 Futurity and the AOA National show and his daughter, Larkspur, has earned championships in fleece competitions.

As the Pines Edge herd size has been reduced, and 2X Supreme Champion Uproar is breeding, Chaps isn't getting the opportunities he deserves. Full interest is now available. Chaps will be an outstanding addition for a farm seeking the best in Suri genetics and show recognition.
